  • BUG: bombardment & edge of map

    Hi!

Maybe someone has posted this before, but there is still an annoying graphics bug in v1.17f. If you have an artillery piece firering across the edge of the map, it will turn to the wrong direction, as if the shell would fly around the world.

It gets even worse if you use bombers, because in this case you see the bombs without the bomber dropping them (all of that of course from the wrong direction). In my last game this happened about 20 times each turn...
I sure hope it will be fixed in the next patch.

do you mean firing across the 0-line, like firing from 1,16 to 256,16?
The Civ3 world is one where stealth bombers are unable to sink galleons, Man-O-Wars are a powerful counter to battleships, and knights always come equipped with the AT-S2 Anti-Tank Sword.

The Simwiz2 Combat Mod Version 2.0 is available for download! See the changes here. You can download it from the CivFanatics Thread or the Apolyton Thread.

simwiz2, that was what I tried to say, although so far I have only observed this strange behavior the other way, i.e. from 255 to 0.

Andy-Man, I fear that the U2 guitarist is out ouf reach of my artillery. Which is good luck for him, if you consider what happened to this once great band after the 80s.

I don't believe that big bertha could fire THAT far, maybe it is a hidden feature for Americans ("the shot heard around the world"?)
