  • Upgrading & Removing Units from Armies

Is it possible to upgrade or remove units from an Army? I have tried everything I can think up, but I can't do it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Afraid not, my good friend.
I had heard elsewhere that if you create an Army in a given city, and only fill it in that city, that you coudl remove them from the Army later if the Army returned to where it was made. That never worked for me and I gave up. Armies, alas, have limited use as an attacking force when you gotta have that one win. Otherwise, they are weak.

as near as i can tell, the only point of armies is to get a few small wonders. as actual units, they are useless (in my experience).
it's just my opinion. can you dig it?

        I think so too.
An army of 4 M. Armors can only attack once, they can't pillage...
Even so, if you want to build the Heroic Epic, Millitary Academy and Pentagon, you have to get armies. That's why my first Great leader is usually spent here (unless I get him REALLY early, if that's the case, I immediately instant-build the Pyramids).
