    how do you establish embassies. i have wrighting and my advisor offered to establish one when i didnt have the money, but now i just cant is there something i missed?

    also, how do you get the other leaders on the foreighn adviser screen (the ones when there is more then 8 civs)

    You have to double-click the star symbol next to your capital (or neighbour's capital) to build embassies. When you'll have to plant spies, you'll have to double-click the icon next to your city having Intelligence Agency.
    To see the other leaders, shift+right click on a head (except yours) in the foreign advisor screen, and choose who you want.

      Yes, you have to double click on your capital to build an embassy. Truthfully though there is little point in rushing to build one though. I usually prefer to use the money rush building temples and cathedrals and waiting until later to build embassys. They are of some use though.

        I think embassies are just a money soak that serve no useful function.

        And they said that CIV3 wasn't real!

              Without an embassy, you can't get a military alliance, right of passage, mutual protection pact, or espionage. Well worth the pittance they cost!
