  • import smac engine into civ3 interface?

Because SMAC and CIV3 were made by the same people and share a number of similarities. Is there any way to import the diplomacy/strategy/and AI of SMAC into Civ3? That would be a good idea, to use the interface/graphics/and overall idea of civ3 with the SMAC engine. Just something to ponder, considering that this might be possible. Any ideas?

It can't be done. If it could, someone would've done it by now, since this would obviously be the best solution.
Firaxis could do it, but they're understandably not interested (too expensive, legal issues, etc.)

I don't see why anyone would want to do it... Sure, the diplomatic system in SMAC is richer, mostly because of the leaders' personalities, but the AI in Civ3 is far superior to the one in SMAC.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Y'mean, the way it always upgrades its units so that it's never caught in the embarrassing situation of having to field pikemen against tanks?

the SMAC engine was perfect (just impliment a WORKING air unit thing like Civ3).

I just nevery liked the nerdy as[ect of it, i think you need to be a star trek fan to get into SMAC.
