  • Should we push for major gameplay changes for any multiplayer version of Civ III

If they do a multiplayer version of civ III it seems to me there is an opportunity to address some of the major problems with gameplay that have been identified in the single player version - things like culture, city defection, corruption, group movement etc.

But this would mean that the multiplayer version of Civ III would be more than an add on, its single player version might be quite a different game - more like a Civ 3.5.

How would you feel about that?

Yes! Use the multiplayer version to address the flaws in single player!

No! I like my single player the way it is.

Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

I don't intend to buy the X pack. Maybe I'll transfer to MOO3. Well except if they really are able to address all the issues in Civ III, and are able to make this game with a certain sense of "logic" towards reality. Something that would make the game as if I was controlling an empire or something. Not "I am controlling smething that looks like an empire but where for some reasons it doesn't even look like it is in reality." Colonies that aren't like colonies, combat system that's twisted, spies that are used rarely (while it's logical to use some in an empire), etc.

SMAC was great in this sense.
Go GalCiv, go! Go Society, go!
