Text Trouble

I'm having problems with some of the text. It appears too big and has too much space between it. My options at the bargaining table start beneath it and continue off the screen. Has anybody else had this trouble? I've already tried to enable font smoothing, but it didn't work. This problem makes diplomacy practically useless for me.

I'm running:

17 inch monitor
Windows ME
667 Celeron
191 MB Ram

Uses the small fonts in windows, it should all comes back to normal.
