Yes. No problems yet. I especially like the reduced corruption.

Yes I do play with the patch.

I agree Purple, that reduced corruption is a big help.

The only thing I did it reduce the time for a new tech from 40 back to 32 with the editor (2050 rolls around when I just get to Industrial age )

I haven't tried it yet, been busy playing Baldur's Gate and Ice Wind Dale the past couple of weeks.

Yes, playing with it. It seems to need more work yet but I do like that it speeds up those incredibly tedious end games where you spend most of your time watching little men run round the map.

Unchecking the animation and 'show moves' in my unpatched games never seemed to make any difference, but at least some of it seems to stop now.

I do wish Firaxis would release some more information about what they are doing though. The fixed/changed lists are very scanty with very little details about the hows and whys.

                problems with patch.

I already posted a message about this. I downloaded the patch for a third time. I guess the 2nd one (the fixed patch) became corrupted somehow. At any rate I uninstalled the game reinstalled with the patch. I am using Korn's Biltz mod with no crashes. I do not like the changes in tech research either. I am at Industrial ages year 1700. My only gripe is that the computer is WAY TO TOUGH. I have it on the easiest settings, gave my civ a few extra things, and I am still having trouble getting ahead. I only have 3 techs the others do not, and they have 2 I do not have. Preparing for switch to Fascism the best civ goverment (korns mod that is) to use. Anyways, I am babbling here, try the above and it should work. Still some polishing to be done MAJOR in the game but at least it no longer crashes for me!

yeah I noticed also like some others ( but I know some experienced quite the contrary, depending of the gameplay style ) that the AI is a bit fiercer post-patch. Particularly about the speed of startegic resource exhaustion ( my fave tweaked setting in the editor ) and culture captures...at Monarch+, it seems to me the AI has no resource exhaustion ( correct me if I'm wrong ) and no cultural priority reduced.

No. I reinstalled 1.07 after discovering the 1.16 tech-trading bug. How can anyone play with this patch when the AI trades during your turn?!

                      I agree re: that tech-trade bug. I guess it's a counter measure to the player's tech-whoring.
Anyway, I'm playing with the patch installed. At least now in the Domestic Screen, when I want to list my cities by other criteria such as shield production, etc., it actually stays in place.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that after the Patch its alot harder to keep those pesky serfs happy?

Yes, that's nice. Now I'm hoping they'll also make the map-building parameters sticky from game to game. And I need a button that shows all relationships between all Civs on the Foreign Advisor screen.

To those who feel outmatched by the AI, just keep plugging away. I have yet to win a game on Regent level, but I'm getting better. The fact that some people are already winning on Diety means that there's a lot for me to learn. That's good, IMO, since I don't want to be bored after a few weeks of play.

                            Patch makes game more challenging.

It does not have many bugs.
                            At least not for me.

Many old 1.07f problems are resolved.

                            Only shading problem is irritating.

                            I'll give it 7.5/10

Now, lets go to Playning Civ3 & waiting NEXT path (hopefully at start of next year)!

It's you. I haven't noticed it. Love that the police station helps corruption. Patch is better so far, will really make a difference when the bomber hordes appear late game. Using jets to defend is something I look forward to. I would remind everyone that having a challenging AI was a goal of the designers. Seems to be working. Happy Holidays!!
