my problems in deity level

Hello,
I´m new to this forum and use Civilization since its first version.
I like to play on deity level but I have lots of problems:

1) I lost all my money very early because other AI civs threaten me asking money

2)I lost my cities for other AI civs due to my poor cultural background of my civ

3) Technology takes a lot of time to develop

4) AI civs declare war and easily conquer my cities.

Any idea? Thank you!

I don't have the game, but apparently the French, Egyptians, Aztecs or Babylonians are the way to go.
