I am currently in a game where I have had a whole island to myself for quite sometime. Only recently have I found other civs as my 1 lonely galley actually made it across the ocean after I discovered the Great Lighthouse. Actually lost quite a few but you only need 1 to make it.
Anyway, in order to protect myself I need to build a navy to protect my shores. Doesn't help that the only iron deposit is on a puny island to the west of me.
So my concerns are 2 fold. Can they blockade my port by being in an adjacent square to the harbor? I would also like to do the return to them if the situation presents itself.
I am not sure how the blockade works or even if it works. If anyone has used this please let me know.
