hi...the last message on that closed thread is but a cryptic link.

The thread pointed to is all about having the right patch.

Well, i never downloaded the wrong one.
In fact, i waited till civ3.com said it was ok to get the new patch.

So if you were suggesting the excess commie tax was because of the faulty patch then that is not the case.
