    Now THIS really annoys me, a settler-spearman pair making their way across my territory towards that lone empty square at the other end of my kingdom, I ask them to withdraw and they magically teleport EVEN CLOSER to the empty square

    Surely "withdraw" should mean "withdrawn back to your own territory" ?!

    You'd also think superior units would be superior, but guess what..

      yeah. you'd think american marines should walk over warriors in kandahar...but they are sending elite warriors instead

      moral: stop throwing unrelated whines in a thread whining about something already discussed. AI does not KNOW which border he should retreat...it retreats to the closest one. if you wanted to build city over there, you would use the same 'opportunity'
