Nuclear Warfare

Has anybody experienced a serious nuclear war in Civ 3? I'm playing as the Americans and I want to get into some serious Cold-War stuff with the Russians. (who just happen to be the other world power in my game right now)

I want to get into a huge nuclear war!!

I have, but the computer has never started one with me...I had to start all of them.
