  • Looking for input on a wild new mod

I know it's kinda lame to post a link to another thread in the same forums, but I'm looking for ideas for a fantasy/steampunk mod I'm going to make in the Creation forum and I'd be interested in the thoughts of some of you who don't normally go there. The thread is here.

Basically I'm going to make a mod where each civilization gets a high-powered unique unit in the industrial age. So far we have Japanese Steam Mecha, French Nautilus subs, Egyptian Ancient Magi, and five others - and I need eight more. Let me know what you think!

    German Airship
British Dreadnought (with some bells and whistles, a higher powered battleship, with ability to launch planes..)
Of course, the ubiquitious French arachnid.

Check out the other post, I've pretty much decided on the English, French, German, Japanese, Persian, Indian, Egyptian, and Russian units. Some of your ideas might get used for other civs, though...the way it's going we have 4 mechanical units and 4 magical ones (and it was unintentional!) so it would be nice if we continued that trend, though definitely not necessary...I like your ideas, though, the Airship could be a mechanical air unit to balance out the magical one the English have now, I'd just have to decide who gets it. The Germans would be good, I could move their artillery piece to another civ...right now the Zulu, Romans, Babylonians, Greeks, Iroquois, Aztecs, Americans, and Chinese need units. Part of the problem is that most of those Civs didn't make it to the industrial age in real life so I have trouble thinking of good non-magical units for them.
