  • What are the bars under a unit's health bar about?

I noticed my units fight exceptionally bad when the unit has a lot of bars under it's health bar when it goes into a battle. Can someone please explain what these bars do and how do I get rid of them?

you could get rid of them by having no units in a stack, but that would hardly affect combat effectiveness.

you mean the little white bars right?

this indicates how many other units can be found under the active one.

I've never really bothered to "try" to count them all.. it's just too small. The soren johnson (sp?) chat transcript did mention this somewhere where it would be easier to distinguish.

As far as affecting combat, it shouldn't. However if you ask me, I find the presence of extra units only help the attacking side, but that's not always true.

Thanks guys...now I have to find another radical reason why my 4 immortals have lost to 2 warriors(no terrain bonus)...

        but thanks anyway!

I feel your pain ... don't worry. I lost to an defending zulu archer last game.

Remember too that if you attack across a river your opponent now gets a defensive bonus , which didn't previously exist (i forgot about that a few times! )

I guess us persian players are just unlucky, eh?

          Cheers!
