I've gone through the whole tech tree, and I thought, "Great, now I don't need to spend money on research" But I see now my civ is researching "Future Techs" I'm on Future Tech 3, and I have no idea what they are for. Anyone know what they do? Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, they have no in-game effects. However, they improve your final civilization score. Basically they're just style points.
