  • AI and Victory Conditions

    When initial victory condition are chosen (spaceship, cultural, etc) and some are left out, does the AI play towards the new victory conditions?

    For example, if only cultural victory is available, would most of the AIs become less combat aggressive and more culture seeking. Of if only the military victory option is checked, does the AIs beome more aggressive in order to obtain the victory? Or does the AI remain the same regardless of victory conditions?

        Excellent question! I have read throught the Soren Johnson chat transcript and I don't think anyone asked that, but he did say that the AI is not hard-coded with the "normal" game conditions and that it could probably adjust fairly well to new stuff people add to the game, so I would imagine that the AI would adjust somewhat. Has anyone noticed anything in their games that would support this? I know people have noticed the AI using units they changed or added correctly, at least sometimes.
