  • Turn length?

How many years are the turns in Civ 3? Can the turn length or the end date (2050, isn't it?) be edited?
The difference between industrial society and information society:
In an industrial society you take a shower when you have come home from work.
In an information society you take a shower before leaving for work.

Like the original the turn length varies, and is probably different depending on your difficulty level too. My best guess on Regent is 4000-1000 BC are in 50 year chunks, 1000 BC-500AD are in 20 year chunks then it slims down to 10, 5 and 2 years by 1800. I've finished all my games before 1900 so I don't know if/when it drops to 1 year per turn or less.
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

It eventually gets down to 1 year per turn, yes. I think from roughly 1900 onwards.

OK, thanks, but is it hard-coded?
