  • Minimum system specs your playing on.

Who is playing civ3 on the crappiest computer. I'm just interested if anyone is playing on a computer worse than minimum requirements.

        266 Mhz interlaced system
        32 Meg RAM
        4 MB video card

Mind you, I am playing without any music, not much animations, and I haven't gotten past the late middle ages yet - although it seems to get a bit sluggish at that point.

Thank goodness I am getting a new computer soon

i have a 233mhz processor and 32mb ram, and it won't run it. i was just wondering if it was because my comp. is so bad or for another reason.

I think I have the crappiest computer that actually runs civ3

            This are my computer specs

            233 mhz Pentium II
            64 mb RAM
            2 mb video card

after installing CIV3, my c: drive has only 250+ mb free..

The game is more or less playable until Industrial age, 5 civs, large map.. with sounds off, because if I turn them on after a while a receive an error and the game shuts down ..(the error it´s because insufficient disk space, actually the game "eats" my hard drive space, i have to reboot to regain it again)

                Pentium I 233Mhz, 64M RAM.
                no sound..
                Quiet slow but playable.
Gets a system error and crashes every 100 or so Turns.

                    Hello formu
                    mine is
                    amd 850Mhz and win xp
                    256 ram
                    64MB RAM nvidia Gforce2 400
sb live and 40GB and the game is sluggish only with full animation on huge map and all civilizations with unit count over 500
after the end of turn it ussually takes a 2 min to proces them all
                    other then that is peachy

                      P2 400 MHz
                      64 MB RAM
1.5 GB HD (2 GB, but after a power surge I've now had to write off half a gig in bad sectors)

It's generally fine, except that it slows down immeasurably in the industrial era.

                        further to my last....

                        (P-I PC)
I am only playing on a small map and haven't got to modern ages yet.
I am sure it would not work on a large map with many cities.
