  • Does the AI really get advantage of the fan´s Mods???

    Yeah. If in a mod there is a cool new unit, that can build cool stuff (like an mechanized infantry engineer, that can build fortress), will the AI take advantage of that new additions???. Or only the human player will be able to use it???.

    Only the human user, the AI is not programmed to see a Mech Inf as an fortress builder and therefore will not have the code to do so.

      For 99% of the changes, yes. The only thing in my mod that the AI is unable to take advantage of is the extra infantry options (build fortress, build road, etc)

        Ok, maybe the AI can't use a fortress-building mech inf, but I know for sure that it can use other added features to other units. I added bombardment to the sub and nuke sub, and I've frequently seen the AI bombard me and others. Hey, even seeing an AI sub is something that I never saw until I added bombardment and gave it better attack strength. The seven seas are suddenly more dangerous now that the sub is actually capable of sinking ships.. previously the subs couldn't even sink an ironclad, and it seems that the AI knew that.
        The bombardment doesn't seem to function properly, though.. it always fails plus subs can now bombard coast squares. But at least the AI spotted the new feature!
