  • Truth in Advertising?

Since I wasn't able to post this in the toped thread.

    From the Civ3 box:

Game Editor Suite lets you create customized civilizations, maps and rules.

Does the included editor meet any reasonable expectations that you would have for such a feature?

I have more questions but they'll depend on the answers I get for this one.

Actually the editor lets you do those things; it just doesn't let you make scenarios.

In your opinion, doesn't that oversight render the feature moot?

Not necessarily. The editing tools allow you to tweak the game if you don't like the default parameters.

Obviously it isn't a full-fledged scenario editor but it isn't useless either.

My main point is that it doesn't contradict the sentence from the box. That's not to say that a complete editor wouldn't have been nice.
