  • Now this is REALLY WEIRD!!!

Today I decided to try another shot at a "Prince" level game, and when I got to the level choosing screen it had "Regent" where it used to say "Prince". I thought maybe people were confusing some Civ2 terms for Civ3 when they referred to "Regent" level. DID THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE I swear I had "Prince" as the third hardest level for a week or so and today BOOM, it says "Regent".

Dude, yeah sounds like you were *puff, puff* a little too much. See if you can get it to say prince again and take a screen shot, then I'll believe you. Also, if I see any Leprechauns around the house, I will take a picture and post it here as well.

It's always been Regent for me, schlo, sorry... I'll take your word for it, though... see if you can get a screenshot, it'd be a classic.

                    start yelling at me:

I think the game tells me it's "Prince" as well.
I remember looking at it because everybody talked about 'regent' and I noticed that it just said 'Prince' in my game.
                    It comes with 'Monarch' though.

Pherhaps it depends on the civ you play ?
Pherhaps it's because I play a warez version and have to wait until tomorrow to buy civ3 legal ?

                      More important questions:

Do you guys like the original or new names better?

                      -I prefer the old.

Why did they change the names?

-Prince and king have sexual connotations.

Civ3 is more concerned with sex than anything else. Can not say King, can not say Prince, need to have as many female leaders as male...

                        Why Emperor then?

Well I'll be d*mned. Okay, as promised here's a picture of the leprechaun that's been running around my house.

                              (He's real though, I didn't use photoshop).
