    1. Multiplayer!!! I want it back. Playing against humans is infinitly better then against the AI.

    2. More government types.

    3. Make the game so that it might conceivably... maybe... someday if you're really good... be able to win militarially. Right now, even if you do everything right, you can't even get close.

The Sentry function - I can't understand why they removed it.

By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may get to be a boss and work twelve hours a day.

Limited or expensive terrain transformation is a definite must on my wishlist. Moving mountains may be excessive but the ability to sculpt the landscape (particularly after global warming) is one I enjoy.
There need to be more governments or at least more reasons to use different ones rather than just advance to democracy.
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

              2 games played - 2 conquest wins
Regent level, so no-one was cheating. Its not hard.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Why didn't I think of that? I guess I don't want it then.

Some good stuff here. I'd really like to see some of those diplomatic negotiations available from SMAC as well.

Fire power is a must... I'm tired of my full-health battleships getting in close battles with Frigates! I don't care what you say but it's not feasible. Even if a battleship ALLOWED a frigate to get within range, cannonballs will ding off battleship armor like spit balls.

I want terraform not to make my land perfect but to reverse the effects of the over-exaggerated global warming. Anyone else have a problem with global warming? I started getting tiles transformed by global warming in the early industrial age- how is that possible? At least let me edit the pollution rate...

Right on. Bring back the Sentry option.

I think I read somewhere in the readme.txt that you can change it to window mode

City 2-square grid in addition to the national borders grid. I know you can work it out for yourself, but it's invaluable when placing your settlers.
