  • AI diplomacy: How to change unreasonable deals into profitable ones

I noticed that the AI usually asks much for anything you want.
But I noticed as well that it will give much for everything you offer.

Play around with it for a little and you can create very positive deals. In example, you have whine and the AI has silk.
If you try to trade whine for silk the AI doesn't agree.
Then ask for silk and ask the AI what it wants in return for it.
It might respond with x number of gold, tech A, tech B and whine.

    Now clear the table.
You know the AI wants to have tech A and tech B,
thus offer him tech A and ask what it wants for it.
It will offer something. Do the same with tech B and whine !
If you offer whine and ask what it will return for it it will come with silk and pherhaps even more like techs and money per turn.

Play around and you can create nice deals ! Eventhough the AI might start with unreasonable ideas.

Whine, the one commodity that any player always has available in abundance if they need it in any game. Why the AI civ should ever want to trade for a supply of it is a mystery
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.
