Anyone else having this problem?

I baught the game on tuesday and have played a lot since. my problem is I keep losing motavation during the middle games. I will be doing ok, thing going smooth, then the darn AI comes and makes all complicated. build citys in my area, argghh the list goes on, you all probably seen me whine all ready becaues the AI is over pwoering me all the time. I get all motavated to play before. I am like, "I will try this!" or "I want to get to the industrial age!" many things. Then somewhere in middle ages everything goes to crap. The AI start annoying the **** of me by somehow beable to defy the (lost focus, hold on thinking...got REO speedwagon on, listening to lurics) laws of this game. they can expand build big military and sometimes even have a super trade empire. MAN!!!!! It is getting to my head, can sopemone help me? what is going on here, I play on 2'nd and 3'd easist levels, so. so anways, inconclusion, I cannot find motatvation to continue. I guess it contributes the AI over poering me and mentally breaking me down.
