  • QuickReview (TM)

I am from Europe and (along as many other people from here, I think) I would like a brief review from ALL of the CivIII Apolyton players, something like 3 LINES (neither love poems nor hate spam, please) which explain if you like the game, why, and compare it to other civ games. I would really appreciate your help, guys
The ice was here, the ice was there, the ice was all around: it cracked and growled and roared and howled like noises in a swound!

The AI fights well and uses all of its options; ie, I crushed England at sea (which, I thought, was the only way she would try to attack...cuase, its the AI, right?), so Lizzie then negotiated a Right of Passage with another civ and attacked me from behind.

The new features work well, especially culture and resources, and add enough new elements to the game to justify it being civ3, and not civ2.5.

    It's very addictive.

The depth of the game is greater than CivII, that's for certain. But it still retains that beautiful simplicity we love from Civ1.

The AI is much better, like treedom says. They attack in force, and know how to use their stuff. For instance, they will laze my cities with bombs before attacking with ground troops. And they know how to position themselves to use terrain advantages.

The culture system is just awesome! This really makes each civilization a living thing, and makes it hard to just roll through the streets taking cities from each other.
