Great thread... I love the Shift-N command (haven't tried it yet)
But why are those commands not in the interfase as in SMAC?

oh, I also wanted to mention that the interface is designed so that you do not have to ever go to the city screen if you don't want to (in fact, that is how I play...) I am curious if anyone has been playing this way, or have the short-cuts been hidden too well?), it's getting a lot better... not to say that is isn't normally a few clicks or look-ups-to-find-key-command's too many, but I'm managing to stay out of the city screen for everything except city-related functions.

PS: Soren/Firaxis/whoever's idea it was to make the shift-right-click change production command: One word -- Thanks!!!Civ 3 Democracy Game:

Diplomacy
I found another hotkey...do not know if someone already mentioned this one....it is used within the diplomacy screen....
someone complained that if you are playing w/all 16 civs or at least more than 8 you cannot view their portrait in the dip. screen therefore you cannot see what peace agreements or wars etc they may have w/other countries...i found that you can change which civs showup in the dip screen by holding down ctrl shift first then right clicing on a the portrait of a civ that you want to change...after that a list will pop up and you pick which civ you want to show on the dip screen....i thought that was pretty handy...however can be very time consuming..i think........but it helps when you are playing agaisnt more than 8 civs...............................GenTomGun

All I have to say is great job man. This stuff really is usefull. Didnt realize you could disband update units from the Military Advisor screen. This saves so much time.
THANK YOU.We will fight them Until Hell Freezes over. Then we will fight them on the Ice.

PS: If you're finding a lot of this is all new to you, I highly suggest reading the key-command chart in the manual and also the readme that came with the game -- I did both, and there's only been about one supprise as to what is doable so far for me, though I couldn't always remember the exact keys...Civ 3 Democracy Game:
