  • London is South America?!

Well im tryint to get a huge world map game going. But everytime I start it up I am about as far away from the starting point that my civ should have that is geometrically possible. That includes South America twice and just about everywhere else but Britain. Am I missing something. Tell me I can get my english to the faderland, please!

So is it just random or am I missing something?

Yup, it's random and there is currently no way method of getting historical positions. Hopefully this will change in the coming months though.

that seriously blows, if your going to make the game historically accurate, the least they could do is allow you to start in the geographically accurate positions. it would suck having New York where Afganistand is

It is quite astonishing how they could fail to provide this essetial quality of an Earth map when it was not an issue in Civ 2. Whatever they have been smoking during the making of this game must have been some fine grade material.

Does that converted map have historical starting points?
