  • Wait till the hype subsides before buying this game!

I remember after the release of CTPI and CTPII the first few days was nothing but glowing tributes for both games. Then people started posting realistic reviews that weren't so flattering. Then the bugs started to appear, then the complaints, then the patches.

We've been down this path before - MarkG has already reported a crash.

I think you are better waiting for Civ 3.1, which should be out before Christmas.

The fact that there is no multiplayer makes it even easier to wait.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

I have four words for those statements "hell no" and the other two would also be "hell no".
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

          no

          CtP sucked bad(different company)

Civ 2 and ToT were both pretty free from bugs.
I spend most my money on Wine, Women and Song.. the rest i just waste.

Good advice, but I will still buy the game immediately. Can´t help it.

But if I am disappointed, I am going to post a scathing review asap, so Firaxis better not disappoint me!

Comrade, in order to get the game into your impatient little hands, they had to cut features.

                      Steve, that was naughty.

But seriously: I did not once tell them to hurry up. I have only been impatient since the game went Gold.
