  • Not Enough Time In Industrial & Middle Ages

My big problem with civ 1 and 2 was never getting to use your cavalry knights and other earlyer wepons. By the time your fighting there already outdated or they get very little use. I am thinking that Civ 3 could have the same problem. Not enough turns in these ages. Anyone got info on if they have fixed this. I thought It was done best in CTP2.

i don't know exactly what you are talking about, although it could of been the fact that i always got leonardos workshop and 300 dragoons so i kind of got bored of my 3 hour turns and assured wining. Although now that i remeber when i didn't pump out units those ages were really short.

I don't think the early ages were done well in ctp 2 personally. I loved the modern and beyong ages though (except fot them taking out space colonization )

In Civ2 you had lots of stuff that became obsolete too fast. Beautiful frigates but there would be those ugly ironclads; cute little pikemen but the tech tree was set up so that you never used them.

I played with the tech cost multipled by 10. That was fun. If I can't do that with the Civ3 editor then the game goes off the hard drive in a week or two.

I am pretty sure those ages last forever when you play on Deity.
