The FAQ says that armies can only have ground, non-artillery units. So, I assume that means no fleets.

It's a little surprising, since modern ships carrying planes NEVER go out without all a bunch of organized ships. This til when?... End of WWII?... Little later?...

seriously, navy fleets should be in the game. Not just cuz of modern time fleets, but has anyone ever heard of an Armada? I'm sure you all have [if you don't you seriously need to get reacquinted with histroy]. Even in ancient times there were fleets. greeks used them all the time. Thats one of the things i dislike about the game.

However; its still ok, i still buying it, in almost every other aspect the game sounds perfect

it sucks that we can only 3 or 4 units in an army, and army needs a great leader or military academy and only 1 army per 4 cities. and no navy fleet. WTF.
CTP's stacking combat system is much better.

I agree with Dida; CTP had a much better combat system than what i have heard about in civ 3. Some greatly improved combat system. In CTP2 you could make a stack of 12 without anything speacial. Bombardment units went in the way back, with ranged units in front of them, and melee in the very front. You had your flankers and your normal combat units, All of these provided not only a basically simple combat system but also a ability to win if you are a good strategist with inferior forces. Not only that but you could also stack sea units and air units.

CTP had a more complicated system, more units always won from more advanced fewer units, quite weird.

In CivIII armies really mean some improvement, so you really want to have them. I am looking forward playing CivIII, if there do really exist people who like CTP better, ok good luck to you.
