Dan what kind of bonuses does the AI get on Deity.

In Civ II I would see Fighters and missiles just sitting on the water with nothing under them! I hated that kind of cheating the most.
What I hope is that the cheating will be "limited" to production, trade, and science bonuses.
I also wish there was an option to turn the cheating off (without having to play Prince as I'm hoping there is more difference between levels than how much the computer cheats!)Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

it was a very scary thing to be working on electricty and seeing "Boston (American) builds Manhattan Project".
when my galleon landed in europe, i met the indians who took paris, wiped out the french, and had an armor staring me in the face.
the indians werent friendly to me at all, but the americans allied with me, and basically sold me tech. i took europe quickly, and met the russians, who were also getting beat down by the indians. they wanted peace, i said no. they offered 700 gold, i said yes. then i took Moscow anyway and they died.
and from there it got ugly, the indians have bombers and i dont have figs or sams, or radio to do the stupid airbase trick. so my rifleman defence isn't doing so hot anymore.
well its a little further in the game NOW, and i have figs bombers and rockets, and they are working on Futute Techs.
the Zulu own all of Africa and South America.
the Americans (now hostile) own north america.
the indians own all of asia.
the Aztecs were forced out of central america by zulu, now own australia and some islands.
and i own europe, loosely connected by roads (india kills all my settlers)
this is probably the most fun civ ever game me.Last edited by Inverse Icarus; October 27, 2001, 11:00."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."

If that is the case, seems the cheats were more extreme in civ2 than they were in the CTP series. And if that is the case, I would suspect that civ3's perceived difficulty will really be based on extreme AI bonuses.
I actually would like to hear some hard percentages from someone who is more familiar with the civ2 numbers, just out of curiousity...Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

no, i think the world map was as big as it gets (correct me if im wrong), but i know there are a few BETTER world maps (more accurate)"I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."
