Civ 3: Will you Rush to buy or wait a bit?

I rushed to my computer on 30 Sept and pre-ordered the LE.

Best Buy opens at 10:00 AM...
I expect to have my copy of CivIII at approximately 10:03 AM Oct 30th.

But I do have a bit of a problem: my wife is going out of town and she is taking our only car, and she won't be back until Wednesday. Looks like I will be walking six miles to get my game.

I will buy it the day it's released overhere in Holland, but I won't be mysterious ill or something. I have some responsibility somewhere somehow.

Id walk to get it if I had to... apply the postman code to getting civ 3... not wind nor rain now cold of night or whatever it is... will stop me from getting Civ # the minute its out.

I don't know if there will be a long line like there was for the likes of Diablo 2 and Baldur's Gate 2, but I will show up an hour or so later after the local EB opens so I don't have to deal with a potential hassle.

One of my pet peeves is that I really hate waiting in long lines.

I'm crazy because I have the patience to wait and not run out and buy a game the second its available? Wow. I certainly hope its a great game, and if it is I'll get it eventually. I'm in no hurry.

My wife already has instructions for Tuesday: Don't come home without it.

So Civ3 will be waiting for me when I get home from work. Hopefully my wife will still be around, too.

Naturally, I shall rush to buy it. However, since I won't be able to get it until 16th Nov , I'm gonna be forced to wait anyway...
