can we choose our gender in civ3??

  • #2
Nope. Each civ has 1 leader. Who knows, maybe they'll add another animated leader to each civ in an expansion pack...

I think that you don't play the default leader in Civ III since they are made only that you will have something to look at when you are talking. So I say that you can.

OK, this screen is quite old, but it shows no options to chose your leaders gender. Maybe on the next screen, but I don't think so.

Also, your leaders picture is used to represent you on the diplomacy screen, so I don't think you can choose your gender; it wouldn't matter anyways.

Yes, you can choose your gender in Civ III - you can either play as a female leader like Cleopatra, or a male one like Shaka. Der.

just another case of leaving out some minor "Fun Playability" issues , whilst this probably wont affect overall playing style, it was always fun to play as different genders, appears to me that ?Firaxis hav eput too much into the extra graphics like the leaders and left out time for MP .....

But no one ever reacted to not being able to be a chiftainess, warlady, princess, queen, empress or deitess ...

becasue you didnt play as a chieften you simply played at chieften level ..... you could still be a female and get all the female titles such as Queen , Empress etc...

I actually referred to two things.

                  1) Civ II. True, but in Civ III this might not be possible anymore. Or?

                  2) Apolyton CS Forums. Never saw anything but male titles here.

                    Uh-oh. I am gravely mistaken.

Ribannah has the honourary title of Queen.

Tiamat does as well as far as I remember.......

And someone is the 'Apolyton Princess' I think, but that may well be her.

Huh? You don't see yourself animated in the game do you? So why should you not be able to type in your own name and maybe schoose a pic for in diplomacy screens?

I want to have my own name... and gender!

Right, I can't see gender button there, but I can't see name button either...

Don't you think that there is another screen after that?
