  • So many patches will Civ 3 NEED?

How many patches do we expect Civ 3 to need before the majority of people will be happy with it? I.E. How patches will it take to have all the major bugs killed and all game issues addressed...

I'm not predicting any game-stopping bugs out of the bugs, but I would say one patch, for small fixes. Then, of course, MP later.

I expect that it will satisfy most right out of the box. But its likely that there will be a bunch of minor tweaks and issues that will require a patch. But is there a difference between 5 little patches with one released each month and 1 big patch released after 3 or 4 months?

I hope they handle it like SMAC and release patches quickly rather than the way AoK was handled, which had one big patch after a year.
