Couldn't agree more. If I have to pay for MP it had better include a whole new release of the game. But not having MP out of the box is going to limit the classic status of Civ3, cause once I've worked out how to beat the AI there will be no where else to go.

This is also the option I would have chose. I saw this poll right when it was first posted and wanted to point this out but the problem is that 95% of the polls never have the option I want, so I got sick of saying it and decided to wait until someone else pointed it out.
sorry, i'll try to think of more options next time
i too hate it when the polls dont have my option...but it looks like i goofed
I actually don't have ANY faith in them to tell you the truth. And you say "cheap-ass" but seeing how you're not old enough to have a job, is it you thats paying for the game or mommy and daddy?
Believe it or not, some people value their money and expect a solid product. If being a smart consumer means being a "cheap-ass", then I'd rather be a cheapass.
Thanks Drake, excellent post! I am one of those cheap-asses because I am in college working my ass to pay for it all. So I guess that I should just suck it up and buy this rushed product because Infogrames wouldn't let Firaxis postpone it a couple months.

Must never have bought anything from Microsoft then.
The eagle soars and flies in peace and casts its shadow wide Across the land, across the seas, across the far-flung skies. The foolish think the eagle weak, and easy to bring to heel. The eagle's wings are silken, but its claws are made of steel. So be warned, you would-be hunters, attack it and you die, For the eagle stands for freedom, and that will always fly.
Darkness makes the sunlight so bright that our eyes blur with tears. Challenges remind us that we are capable of great things. Misery sharpens the edges of our joy. Life is hard. It is supposed to be.
I first have to be convinced that the Game itself is worth buying (see the DEMO Poll). I don't care if the initial Game supports MP or not, as Civ and Civ2 didn't either and were good anyway. But if they decide to release a MP they should better releas it as a free Patch. I hate this whole money making philosophy that works with muck about customers on purpose. If they try to sell the MP addon I will get a pirated copy of it just as protest.
I'm a mature customer, I know what I want and don't like to be dictated by the Industries. I'm ready to pay good money for good products, but I don't want to spend my Money to unhonorful People, bamboozler and dazzlers. Sorry, but i've got sick by all those promises nobody keeps. Are I expecting to much?

Correct, I never bought directly a Microsof product. I've got some as bundle with new Computers, but never intentionally bought one. Microsoft is one of this arch-capitalistic Company who ****s on customers. Long live the anti imperialistic liberation front of Bâle! Viva Che Guevara! (www.aibfb.ch)

Unfortunately, you still paid for them. What do you think, you got them for free from M$?
