An idle thought on the loss of cheat mode

Ive been known on occasion to go through the entire enemy civs cities, deleting all their units, and placing a unit next to their now-empty cities. Instantly double my number of cities But i only did that sort of thing when the AI annoyed me too much, and i never continued playing the game after cheating... just a sort of revenge type thing. The nukes next to each city thing also was a fun sort of revenge

I cheated to make the computer more difficult to kill and then to easily kill them... Is that normal???
