Actually I invented yesterday a new idea for Civ III
when I was reading the embassy thread.
I know that Civ III is bagged and tagged, but I just
wanted to share my idea.
I think a function for trading, sharing and giving intelligence
information would be a fine add to the game. At least in
MP it could prove to be valuable. The diplomatic aspects would
get more depth and you could easily prepare your civ
for an attack by an another civ. It would also give you
the option to gather and distribute (for a price, of course )
intelligence, without having to take part in wars.
By doing that, you could still control the fields of diplomacy.
In SP the AI would just share intelligence with all its civs,
so it would be totally useless (the AI in Civ III is better than before,
but using this kind of information requires human intelligence
(even a blonde is clever enough ). But in MP it could really
bring new dimensions into the game.
