  • bases to cities... SMAX to CivIII

I don't know if I am going to get used to calling them 'Cities' again. It took me a while to start calling them 'Bases' after playing CivII for a while and then going to SMAX.

For those of you who don't know, cities are called 'bases' in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

I don't know...that's already the word for units

Maybe you should call them "whatchamacallits"

I just got used to calling them bases half the time.. and cities the other half, so atleast 50% of the time I get it right.

I suspect it will be easier to remember to call them cities as they will be based on names we all know and love.

I mean 'Great Clustering' doesn't really compete with London or Paris...

Damn, it is difficult to flick between the two. Referring to cities/bases, nutrients and food, shields and resources, trade and energy...damn.

Also the keyboard shortcuts catch me out. I in civ is F in SMAC, H in SMAC is F in civ, and, well, you get the idea...L rather than S in SMAC...damn, it got to be difficult to switch between the two...
