  • How do the Legions look from behind?

From what I've been able to see I miss the neckprotecting scale panzer shown in the attached image.
Am I wrong? Have you seen it in other pics?

Hold on, I'll just get my microscope out and examine the unit image... if the man would only hold still for a moment.

something like that. I'm quite sure that it isn’t in as this is something quite newly discovered . I just tried to get all those whining about historically accuracy feel what they are doing. (This makes nothing for the gameplay)

              WAIT A SECOND!@!!!@

Did Roman Legions even use scale armor (probably at some point, but we never really see them portrayed with it)? Why are you showing us a pic of what is obviously a medieval soldier for comparison with a Legionnaire?

Roman auxiliaries (such as cavalry) do wear scale armour. But if you are looking for authentic, Firaxis' representation isn't it.

                      LOL @ Gramphos

First time i saw this, i suspected it was a satire, but didnt really understand what it was a satire of. Then i went to the Civ3-Civilizations forum, where they are talking about a bowmen not holding the bow accurately
                      Crazy people, i tells you

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

That is because that is newly discovered. And it's indeed a Legionnaire (compare the shield with the one of the units in Civ3)

Gramphos is swedish; no wonder he wants to know how the legionaries are going to look from behind
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

Okay, I should have used the word back.

                            Sweden is not behind!

                            edit: spelling
