  • I have a Qeustion on startegic Resources?

    Umm, I have a question.

    here goes

If I have a Iron near Rome, it is connected to Rome, Antium, and Virconium via road. Do all 3 cities get to use that Iron in the same quantity? Thats stupid if so.

1 good per city should be limit!

(apogys for spelling. I am drunk)

    heres an example:

if you have bronze in Rome, and Antium is connected to Rome, Antium can build Phalanxes. On the other hand, Cumae is not connected to Rome, or Antium, and has no bronze in it's own borders,it CANNOT build phalanxes.

and i think yes, all cities get same quantity.

but you need an extra 1 for each nation you want to trade with.

(there SHOULD be a ratio, 1 resource per 5 cities)

Been sniffing the wine gums again eh?

Yep, if you connect all your cities to the iron resource via the capital, they can all use the iron...however you will need other resources if you wish to trade. Needing a separate resource for each city would just make it too complicated...

has no bronze in it's own borders
Cumae, Rome, Moscow, London, Washington DC, Bombay, and any other city will never have bronze in its borders. Since bronze is an alloy it will be very hard to mine.

1 good per city should be limit!
You surely must be drunk. If only one city was allowed to use one resource then you would have to have "specialist" cities, producing only one type of unit. That would be extremely boring and evily cruel of Firaxis.

The ratio 1 resource for every X amount of cities which UberKruX suggested would be good, but then which cities would get the resource and which ones would miss out. Maybe it could be for the closest cities and the capital to get it?
