  • Wanted: a particular scenario

I will need, a.s.a.p. after release, a map/scenario where I can play the following civs on the largest map: Chinese, Indians, Zulus, Romans, Iroquois and Inca. The goal is to let each civ have a shot at being viable so as to have the most complex, long-lasting and realistic game possible.

Anyone who can either do this or explain how will have my eternal gratitude. Thanks in advance.

Well, if these are the only conditions (all six civs in, no others, same techs/units/improvements as in the normal game) it should be pretty easy to make.

Choose the map, choose the civs and their starting positions, then start the game You can probably turn the Aztecs into the Inca with customized leader, UU, an own wonder etc.

To make sure that the AIs don´t wipe eachother out too fast, place a dozen (or more/less) cities for every civ to begin with.

If Firaxis makes it true that the scn editor for civ3 will much better than the civ2 editors, it should be simple

That's good to know. I guess when it comes out I'll post again for more exact info. Is adding a civ (the Incas) likely to be easy as well? They would not need a special unit, since I'll be turing that off anyway.

Well, everything will be editable, so yes. The tricky part will be the graphics -- the leader, special unit (doesn't apply in your case, I know). So as long as you can look at Montezuma and accept him as Atahualpa (or whoever), you'll be fine.

Isn't six civs in the biggest possible map a little to few. Remember this map wil be six times bigger than large in civ2.
Having only six civ on this map will insure no one meets or detroys eachother before medieval times.

I guess it will be six massive civs competing for world domination.

That would actually be pretty fun, having massive civilizations before meeting anyone. Those sort of wars would be very interesting, and extremely challenging to conquer and hold an enemy civs cities.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

I didn't realize that the map would be that much bigger.

If possible I might want to add Vikings, maybe Babylonians and Mogols or Russians. Perhaps even Aztecs. But isn't there a limit on the # of civs at one time? (I'm not worried about leader pcitures.)

Yes, that limit is 16 civs.

No Incas either, but hes making a custom scenario, so adding them shouldnt be much of a problem

It remains to be seen if I will be able to do it, but there would be added civs. Potential candidates would include actually having one in South America and the one with the largest land empire in history.

                            Remember this?

A blast from the past. Remeber these hopeful, innocent days before Earth maps created by the blind or astoundingly incompetent and inalterably random starting locations?
