  • Integrated replay after-action-reports

In that summary replay screen, one should...

A: be able to save & load replays as well. And share them with others.
B: be able to manually add your own EU-style after-action reports, readable in a "player comments" text-area below the histograph/even log.

By the way: how many "View histograph by..." dropdown-menu alternatives are there?

    Score, Population, Power... umm....

You could load a file with replay info. onto the internet to prove that you had got ... points.

Exactly - it helps separate truth from bull****. Also, it would be nice feature for those who cannot/ dont have time/ dont have the hardware to play MP-games. Thanks to such replays they can easily compare their own play-strength with other human players anyway. If not else; at least make those replays save/loadable to/from standalone replay-files - with or without player comments.

The popularity of EU after-action reports is unquestionable - integrating something similar directly in that screen would kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Sid Meier's comment in that new presentation video:

"Everyone that have played Civ seems to have a story to tell about their game, and we are hoping that after you played it, that you have a story to tell. Come back and tell me about your great battle against the Romans, or how you was the first to build that great Wonder, or about that titanic struggle to finally take over the world. Find you own story in Civ, and come back and tell us".

Nah, that is no proof. Somebody will find out a way to edit the replay info anyway. I doubt that Firaxis will make some hard core programming to make the files extremely hard to generate, but very easy to load. Such things would require checksums and timestamps.

              Replay!

When I first heard of the Replay option, I had hoped that you could sit back and watch all of the unit movements and growths of the cities of the whole world as they occurred, in a fast-play mode. Seeing the whole map.

I am still hoping for that.

I do not expect to be able to stop and inspect cities of anyone, see how much gold they have, or see what they were researching.

I know right, thats what I wanted, a movie-style super-fast realtime presentation of what happened the whole game, with the map revealed.
