  • tight trousers titillate. [a custom maps question]

For scenario builders out there, can we set custom proportions to these potentially huge civ3 maps, or are we stuck with the same height/width for all maps, flat or round?

I'd like to build a map of my pants, with discreetly placed mountains and hills (and rivers and lakes (and also forests and jungles (and horse resources))).

I think we'd all agree that it'd be better if the pants went vertically, not horizontally. It's just that I don't know what it was in Civ2 or SMAC. Either way if you know me you know it'll be a tight fit.

Like my mom says "you can't make an omelet for Rick without him eating the eggs raw if you don't make the omelet fast enough for him." But no joking folks, don't eat raw eggs, it can lead to septic esophagal burns, especially if you're lying down all day.

It's right there at the top.

Can we adjust the proportions of custom maps?

Like could we have 50 vert squares to 100 horiz, but on another map have 100 vert to 50 horiz?

[vert = vertical and horiz = horizontal. and for those of you offered cold comfort within the american educational system, vertical means up and down and horizontal means side to side, like a man lying in a tub.]

Yeah, you could set both sizes independently within certain ranges in Civ2. I doubt they'll change it for Civ3.
