    So, I've been absent for far too long (real job and all that) - what're the min sys reqs for civ3?

    wheathin, if you go to http://civ3.com you will find the answer there. But, since you asked, here it is

    Operating System: Windows® 95/98/Me/2000
    Mac® Version coming soon.
    Processor: Pentium® II 300MHz
    Memory: 32 MB RAM
    Hard Disk Space: 400 MB free hard drive
    (+50 for swapfile)
    CD-ROM Drive: 4X Speed or higher
    Video: DirectX® 8.0a-compatible video card*
    (must be able to display 1024x768x16 bit)
    Sound: DirectX® 8.0a-compatible sound card*
    DirectX: DirectX® version 8.0a (included) or higher

    * Indicates device should be compatible with DirectX® version 8.0a or higher.

            There's nothing funny about this for Mac users...

            Does anyone know if the PC version of Civ 3 works on a Mac, provided it's equipped with some "virtual PC" program?

              It is being ported to MAC, I'm not sure by who, but you will be waiting quite a few more months than the PC users.

                I doubt Firaxis takes the time to test the game on emulators.
