    Hi,

    Just some small questions,

Does anyone knows if civ3 will be released in other languages than only english?

Will the special edition of civ3 be available everywhere or only at certain resellers?

    Kind regards, Eric

Two very good questions. All we definately know is that Firaxis has a tradition of making easily-translatable games, with both SMG! and SMAC carrying all language-specific text in separate files. SMAC, IIRC, was translated into Spanish, French and German officially and a few others by fans. That was handled by the Publisher, though, which was EA back then, but since Infogrames is a french publisher I'll assume that they will put some efforts into at least a french translation.

The second question is probably more difficult to assess at the moment, since I know zilch about Infogrames corporate culture. EA was good with releasing games quickly and widely all over the world- IIRC the special edition of Ultima IX came out just about everywhere. Again, though, it's a european publisher and we can guess that they probably will.

Well let us hope that with Infogrames being a French based company that they are more Eurocentric with their releases, therefore we get the game at the same time as the US (or even earlier ), and that the special edition is available over here as well...

(damn I'm struggling, I don't seem to be able to type properly tonight)
