In Civ 2, all you could do was edit the picture and name of a wonder. I hope we can do alot more in Civ 3, like create a wonder called the "Mayan Calendar", and give extra cultural points to the host empire. Or make one called the "Taj Mahal" and give a temple bonus to the host city. But so far I haven't heard if this is going to be possible.

Having customised wonders sounds good, depending on what events you can trigger. I can't see it being to different to scenario building in that respect.
Have you read Bug's ****ing Bunnies ideas for wonders?One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

The more I read on these forums, the more I think the ideal moddable Civ3 will be very similar to CtP2. If there is no equivalent to SLIC in Civ3 I will be mightily pissed off.
Creating custom pictures and names for wonders is a right, not a privilege.Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

Ave!
I agree completely. It might also be nice to have a "buildwonder" trigger in the special events... it would be more realistic for certain scenarios. For example, I never understood how one could "build" a Magellan's Expedition. However, you could make a game with a special events trigger:
IF Civ M brings Unit A to locations X, Y, and Z.
A=sea unit, location X= 12,13;12,14;12,15... (Those could be the coordinates that one must pass to round the tip of South America) location Y= (What would be need to pass beyond the Cape of Good Hope) location Z= (Lisbon)
THEN Create Wonder
Wonder= Magellan's Expendition; city= Madrid
