What's the difference between Minor Wonders and Major Wonders ???

Major Wonders are like the old Civ2 wonders, ie they can be built once per game. Minor wonders can be built once per Civ.

Wasn't there also something in a preview which talked about "achievements", like the first civ to sail around the world got a movement bonus for their ships for a certain number of turns?

What sort of things would be minor wonders? I think SDI should be a minor wonder, protecting all of your cities at once (but should be very costly to build).

Hey that's quite interesting...

I think(/hope) Civ3 will have some really nice surprises like this. I saw some previewers proclaim Civ3 would be more of the same, but seeing things like this I doubt that. There will be enough to interest the most jaded civvers.
