I have no problem with goody huts. It's just ANOTHER random element of the game. I would like them to be preset from the beginning to eliminate the desire to reset until you get what you want...

Starting location... available resources... which civ starts near you... are all random. Huts just add to the random fun. It all equals out in the end
    Keep on Civin'

The starting locations/nearby civs are getting less random in Civ3 apparently. Perhaps goody huts should become even more random to compensate?
To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

        The Goody Hut Song

        "Goody hut
        Goody hut
        I have found a
        Goody hut"

I may be a bit more bent than most, but I have caught myself singing a little song with these words to myself when I find and claim a goody hut.
None, Sedentary, Roving, Restless, Raging ... damn, is that all? Where's the "massive waves of barbarians that can wipe out your civilisation" setting?
