...For a change let's talk about something else than who will be the king of babylon, or when does THE site open, etc...This is an idea (again tooooo late ) which I haven't heard anybody talking about yet

How about when a country is revolting (and splitting into 2+ countries), wouldn't it be great if the other countries is called something else than the chooseable countries, wouldn't it be great if the names (no city names needed, they just use the old countrys citynames) of the new country could be...let's say...a country split in two could name the other part of the country for Portugal or Denmark or another country than the countries already chosen...or it could be like the country could split up in East and West or North and South...the second option would then make both countries change names, until one country has taken over the "lost" part of it

I don't think this would take a lot time to implent...but I guess still everybody (includes me) would rather have the game finnished tomorow than wait one more day Just can't stop talking about ideas though
This space is empty... or is it?

That always bothered me a bit too, but I don't care too much at this point. I just want the game to hurry up and get here (or at least the site). Thank you for not posting a spam-poll in your boredom, ADG.

one game i was playing the world map, and i killed the zulus, with soem carthragian aid.

then later in the game i decided i needed a war so i went after Carthage's capital (which was Utica... they moved it repediately... idiots).

when i took it they split north and south, and essentialy all of the Zulu cities they owned became babyonian.

so it was like fighting the same war twice, only the second time without an ally

Carthaginian aid? You actually had a Civ2 ally do something? An AI civ actually conquered cities?

I loved how my allied Germans moved their howitzers around the enemy cities to sotre them somewhere in the desert.... they attacked the cities with marines and alpine troups, while their heavy artillery rusted in the sand

          just a few tiles away!

Well SMAC was a lot better then Civ2, at least not having completely brain-dead AI (mentally handicapped, maybe, brain-dead, no) I really hope the trend of better AI continues, even with all the new gameplay features the AI has to shown how to use.

CIV2's AI is smarter that MGE... i swear on it.

and they dont "hate" human players... they actually make lasting alliances.
