  • Look, its just a freaking game people

I think some of us have a lost a bit of perspective. This game has taken years to produce but at the end of the day its just a computer game. A bit of fluff really, a diversion. A bit of fun at best.

It won't change your life, it won't solve your personal problems, it won't give you a hug, its certainly not the meaning of life. It might be good, it might not. Them's the breaks.

Remember we still have civ 1 and civ 2 so I'm not that worried if its a dog.

Unrealistic expectations can only ruin your enjoyment
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

AH is correct. We are talking entertainment here, not anything really important in our lives

I have no expectations... I will judge the game when I play it.
And as AH says, if it sucks, I will continue playing CivII MP.

While I hope it's good, it doesn't really matter one way or another. It won't be the end of the world if it's bad

So everybody should really just lighten up and not take this too seriously.

So Keep on Civin' (one way or another)
        Keep on Civin'

The average person only posts a few minutes or so a day. Since the civ3 fanbase is so big on Apolyton, it all combines to make us look like obsessive freaks. Which, of course, we aren't.

Of course, some people would rather spam in their free time...

If that's the case, Horse, why did you make all those useless suggestions a while back? A thinly veiled spamming spree?

                    To troll or spam.

It's been confirmed, in CivIII you will be able to build cities on mountains.

Ouch, I like Civ, but there's a helluva lot more to life then one girl, work and civ.

No cities on mountains. Only fortresses and colonies.

Yet again, a god has spoken. I don't really care whether cities are allowed on mountains or not because I would never build them there anyway. No matter what, it's good to get a little information (no matter how insignificant it is).

Oh, Jeff, BTW: Are you in the civ3.com loop? If so, can you give us any idea at all about when the site is coming? It's early August and still no site
